Earth is the source of life - just like breathing, your heart beating, and all normal functions your body performs without you thinking. Your inner self and subconscious are the operators of your life, while the ego wants to take all the credit. The earth is the lifeblood to every living plant and animal. When the earth wants to let go of its stress, it does so through earthquakes, forest fires, volcano activity, hurricanes, tornados, fire, and any other activity Mother Earth and Mother Nature chooses. It grows the food supply for life, just as your life functions are performed without you thinking about them. The earth heals from the inside out just as a human being heals from the inside out. A human being thinks they heal from the outside in, which is a false thought process.

Human beings think money, being aggressive, and belittling others are the answers to getting ahead in life. The ego is jam-packed with thoughts, ideas, and actions it thinks you should be doing, while your heart, inner wisdom, and inner self focus, unheeded by you, for the right life path. The inner self chooses a path not known to the logical side of your brain, therefore you feel it is not the path for you to follow. The ego has you thinking you attain knowledge and wisdom from the outside in, even though you have the answers inside you already. Yet you weren’t taught to listen to your inner self and its inner wisdom. When the earth decides to erupt, it creates a challenge that people call a disaster, yet it is only cleansing and purging itself in order for new growth.

How does this relate to you? What do you need to purge from your life? Unless old circumstances are excavated, you cannot nurture new growth in any phase of your life.

Life is an excavation process - just like digging a ditch in the earth or tilling a garden. You can dig a ditch for water to flow, like a river to the ocean, or for something to grow. Your inner self is like the ditch you dig in the earth: unless you put the dirt back into the trench in the right way, it will collapse. Unless you nourish your inner self, it will collapse, leaving you feeling empty inside, with your ego controlling your life. This leads to anger, frustration, and challenging situations. Addictions and outside circumstances that become too strenuous for you to cope with create lack of self-confidence and low self-esteem. You are left beating yourself up, unable to cope with everyday life, and longing to escape the pain, which can manifest as addictions, mental breakdowns, etc.

These outside circumstances and addictions feed the ego, making you feel as though you have to strike out or take something to escape the pain and anguish. As the addiction expands, you feel this substance is the only escape from the pain in your life. An addiction creates a false sense of belonging, false self-esteem, and false self-confidence - false courage with which to face a real world. Some people say they have to hit rock bottom before reaching forhelp. The truth is, rock bottom is total pain and total shutdown of the inner self; a closing off of the heart. To heal you must let go of the pain from the inside out by opening your heart and turning to the inside.

Addictions and outside circumstances are an open trench in your life. Until you put the dirt back in the trench and compact the dirt to firm composition - turn inward to discover your true life path - you won't find the real person you have been refusing to discover. Live from your heart, inside out. An addiction or unwanted outside circumstances creates emotions of external blame to ease the pain. While in an intoxicated state of mind, the addicted person feels they can conquer the world. The truth is, you are only as strong as the addictive substance allows you to feel. Under the influence, the person thinks they are somebody of importance. When sober they feel lost with no direction - they are deep in the trench with no exit until the collapse.

The collapse of the trench happens when a person is completely shut down on the inside. When total shut down (Rock Bottom) happens, then the person reaches out for help, filling the trench up with the right dirt, compacted solidly, and is then able to reach out to help others. As the person with the addiction or outside situation grows through the challenge, a smile radiates through them from the inner self as it grows in confidence and self-esteem. They are a stronger person after the trench (Addiction) is filled and compacted by the adverse path they choose. The road to recovery begins as soon as the person identifies the addiction and chooses to do whatever it takes to unhook from that situation. As the addiction or unwanted life situation is released and the inner self begins healing - just as the dirt in the ditch is compacted - it will never collapse. The dirt covering the trench allows new life to sprout and grow, just as the person inside heals and grows, radiating with a smile from the inside out.

In what areas in your life do you have an open trench that you want to fill in?

Every day there is a new trench dug or Mother Nature occurrence in your life that has your ego or you in turmoil. Turmoil in your life can only happen when you allow it to control you. Maybe it is somebody doing something to you, you doing something you aren’t proud of, or you feeling insecure or scared. These trenches, mother earth and Mother Nature experiences, that happen in your life are opportunities for you to purge the old and grow new sprouts. Excavate all the unwanted stuff out of you and your life. Your egotistical mind and old thought patterns are not the answer to the challenge. Your subconscious mind never lets you live without some type of lesson. The answer is deep inside you and can clear the barrier that is holding you from living your desired life. In any life-learning situation, search yourself out on the inside to see the deeper path or deeper answer.

When the earth chooses to have a cleansing, it opens to release - fire, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados - and new growth follows. Mother Earth's exhibitions of power are a cleansing. Purging the old is a new concept to your egotistical mind and with this comes a strange feeling of insecurity. Natural disasters create change in the world just as you go through life changing situations to create new life paths for you to follow. Every disaster Mother Earth or Mother Nature unleashes is a cleansing reality check, which also creates an opportunity for people to come together, to reach out, to help each other. In every life lesson, there are new people and new ideas to give you a new view of life.

Here a three questions for you to answer:

  • Where are my open ditches in my life?
  • Where do I want to nurture myself?
  • Where do I blame others for my life situations?

Here are three affirmations for you:

  • I set myself free from all my discomfort.
  • I listen to my inner wisdom, unconditionally, in all phases of my life now.
  • I trust my self in all life situations now.
